Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students do not have opportunities to interact with the their peers on other continents because of lack of technology at my school. They are mostly truant and chronically absent. Some of them are failing at least two classes. They are usually late to class and disengaged. I would like to be able to engage them more by using technology in my classroom. I believe that if I make my lessons more engaging, students will want to come to my class, they will have fun learning, and their outcomes will improve.

My Project

These Chromebooks will enrich my lessons and my students will get to have authentic experiences connecting to people and cultures around the world. I believe that if I make my lessons more engaging, students will want to come to my class, they will have fun learning, and their outcomes will improve.

Please help me provide 4 Chromebooks to my students that will enhance my teaching methods by providing access to online resources and authentic materials for my French and ESL students.

I am trying to create opportunities for my students to work in groups doing research online so that they can build relationships with each other and myself.
