My Students

I teach first grade in Utah and the students at my school and in my class are resilient. With last-minute schedule changes, mandates, and learning through a pandemic, they go with the flow and adapt to new situations. We have dedicated teachers working hard to support their students in learning.

My students show compassion for others and try to remember that everyone makes mistakes and we can learn from them.

They persevere when things get tough, are hard workers, creative, positive, kind, and have lots of fun! They're a great bunch of 6 and 7-year-olds.

My Project

I plan to use these Chromebooks to allow more students the opportunity to learn with various avenues through technology. These programs chosen by our School and District provide differentiated instruction and allow students to move along at their own pace.

These programs also provide teachers with plenty of data about each child and how to help them continue to progress with lesson plans, targeted holes in their learning, and other manipulatives for them to continue their learning.

Without enough devices to go around, it's hard for us to have each child get the amount of time needed to work on these programs.
