Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach in a diverse area, and my hard-working students come to school every day ready to learn. I love my students! They are hard-working, eager learners. They come from diverse backgrounds including various ethnicities and diverse socioeconomic backgrounds. I use whole-brain teaching strategies in my classroom, so my students are constantly engaged in learning and sharing ideas with each other. I want my students to have all of the essentials they need to be able to love life every day.
My Project
These Chromebooks will help my students in math, science, and social studies. My students need Chromebooks to help maximize their learning. We have access to a lot of digital resources that help further student understanding and engagement, but we don't get to fully utilize them because there are not enough computers to go around. Every day, students rotate through centers and these Chromebooks will be available during this time. Students will be able to use these Chromebooks to further explore core content through web-quests, digital labs, and other online resources. It will also continue to reinforce the 21st Century learning skills that are needed for the real world.
