My Students

I am a first year teacher in a Title I school in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. With budget cuts to education, I have to provide my own resources and curriculum. It's my goal to make my classroom a great learning environment for my students to explore and feel loved.

My students are full of positive energy and are excited to learn!

They love to investigate and question how things work. For many of my students, school is the only place where they can express themselves and gain the confidence to try new things.

My Project

Chromebooks will dramatically enhance our classroom. My students would be able to listen to stories online, work in google classroom, play Prodigy to practice their math facts, and so much more. Right now, my students rely on iPads that are several years old and glitch when my students try to get on google classroom. With Chromebooks, my students will also be able to practice typing and become more digitally literate. 3rd graders in Arkansas have to take their state tests on computers. It’s only a matter of time until my students will have to do the same thing. I want them to be comfortable using computers so they will be prepared.
