My students need four Chromebooks in order to become one step closer towards a one to one technological learning environment within the library.

When the students come into the library, typically most of the lessons that are taught involve the use of the computer. These students need the use of Chromebooks in order to research topics and work on assignments for their content area classes, as well as work on educational games and activities.
Most of them enjoy being on a computer and greatly appreciate the lessons that use the Chromebooks.
My school is in an Urban area where providing Differentiated Instruction can benefit ALL students so that they progress and are successful across the curriculum. As the School Media Specialist, I believe that having the Chromebooks in the library is extremely beneficial to most of the students I teach every week. Right now, the biggest obstacle I face is not being able to teach my students basic researching skills and lessons that involve life skills, such as looking up what college they might want to attend in the future, or how to construct a proper resume for when they apply for jobs and careers, because the students are not always able to use Chromebooks. I want my students to be successful and knowledgeable, and have wonderful interactions using various types of media.
If these Chromebooks are available to my students, my scholars, they can begin to explore new aspects of what I have to teach them in the Library through the use of Technology. I see my students as authors and writers and illustrators through the establishment of online story-making.
I see my students using these Chromebooks in order to prepare for their futures in a growing technology-based world.
I see my students as researchers, exploring ideas about how a book is published. I see my students as leaders, exploring college and careers and taking charge of their own lives. I see my students as Scholars of the future.
