Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are young and amazing first graders! They are curious, energetic and come to school every day with a desire to learn. Many of my students come from low-income homes where they may not have all the resources needed to learn. Many are English Language Learners just beginning their journey toward a successful education. School is a place where they are challenged to work hard and succeed.
Today, all students need access to technology to support their learning in the classroom and Chromebooks will provide this opportunity to twenty-six incredible first-graders!
My Project
Chromebooks provide a gateway to everything my first graders need to learn. My students will have daily opportunities to practice reading, build vocabulary and bolster math fluency using technology that is engaging, fun and benefits students of all learning styles!
Chromebooks are being used in districts all across America today because they are inexpensive and simple to use.
Having access to four Chromebooks in my classroom will provide students the opportunity to visit numerous websites that promote literacy, including hundreds of online leveled books using our subscription to Raz-Kids and interactive digital lessons that tie into all areas of the curriculum.
