Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are enthusiastic learners. They enjoy hands-on and a few technologically enhanced activities. Although the majority of my students have a very low income base, they approach each day with an "I can" attitude. Approximately 95% are on free or reduced lunch.

Without practicing and using technology, many students feel anxious when taking a computer based test.

Lacking technological resources at home has made it difficult for many students to complete their assignments. Education is their key to a better life.

Despite these challenges, my students are hungry for the opportunities education provides. They look forward to all the hands-on and interactive technology that this grant could provide.

My Project

By donating to our project, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. They will be able to sufficiently practice with technology, engage many different tutoring videos, truly have the best differentiated learning, and will no longer fear computer based tests.

Chromebooks will allow my disadvantaged students to better compete in this world!

Going from fearing computer testing, to being confident with technology is a giant step towards equality!

Chromebooks truly can "level the playing field of life" for my students! Plus in this technology literate world, any interaction with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology.
