Students at my school come together from many different backgrounds and abilities to create a beautiful community that we call home. We have both self-contained Montessori classes and self-contained gifted classrooms, as well as our mainstream classrooms, so we are able to meet a large variety of learning styles and student needs.
My students are curious about how the world works, and I try to foster that curiosity with a project-based curriculum and hands-on learning experiences.
Our maker-space is a place where we can come together and build while exploring concepts in science, the arts, engineering, and more.
My students will be able to explore the world within the classroom. We can now use the tools we have learned from online learning and bring it to the classroom next year. The children have had time learning how to use a computer; now, we can use this to enhance their learning environment. These Chromebooks will make a big difference by being able to let the kids use the internet, with supervision, to explore. They can explore different aspects of what they are learning and ask more in-depth questions.
