Help me give my students an equal opportunity to use technology to further their education. These Chromebooks will allow my students to become virtual learners during this unprecedented times in our society.

My students come to school at a disadvantage than more affluent neighborhoods. Most of them only have online access through their parents' phones. There are so many programs that can help my students succeed. They do not get a lot of help academically at home so I try to maximize as much time as I can with beneficial learning experiences for them. There are community centers in their neighborhoods but many students do not utilize the computers there because parents are afraid for the kids to walk through the neighborhood alone. There are so many things to help them educationally by using a Chromebook that they are not getting access to. If they want to compete with students in other districts, they need to be exposed to more technology to learn what they are capable of. Some may find a career interest just by using a Chromebook in second grade!
My school is currently closed due to the world pandemic going on. Our district is scrambling to provide our students with the skills to become virtual learners because we need to continue instruction outside of the school walls. However, we don't have the technology to teach those skills at school because we don't even have enough technology for our students.
Your donation will help close the gap in the inequity that is happening in urban schools like mine.
By adding as many Chromebooks as I can to my classroom, I can teach my students how to become virtual learners. Other schools do this on a daily basis now.
