My Students

My students have made a great transition from second to third grade. During this process, I have become more aware of the skills that my students need to become successful in their everyday life. My students have some disadvantages to other students due to the funding that our school gets, in addition to the area that our school district is located. I have to say, that this does not seem to get my students down. We strive every day to do our best with what we have and we work through everything with a positive attitude. We have learned to count on each other to get through some of our obstacles.

My students also have learned a lot about becoming good problem solvers in their daily activities.

This is such a hard skill to teach because this teaches them that they can be independent and still make good choices working with one another.

My Project

These Chromebooks will help my students become better readers and be able to solve a variety of math problems using several programs. We will be able to use web based programs that are free to help them make the progress that they need. They can also use the Chromebook to research things that will enrich their knowledge about certain subjects.

When my students feel successful, it makes teaching that much more fun.

I love to see the progress that they make when they are proud of their success. It allows me to share many experiences with parents about what they have accomplished.
