I teach technology education to all students in our suburban elementary school. Like most children, my students love to learn about computers and technology; they find the subject very engaging and are motivated to succeed. While our middle class, suburban students are very used to tablets and phones at home, they still need to learn desktop computer skills and programs that will help them achieve throughout their lives. My students are eager to learn more about technology and computer science. I hope to fund resources that will help our students confidently advance into their futures.
My students want to learn more about Google and practice their coding skills! We participated in the Hour of Code earlier this year and my students had a blast. They just can't get enough! My students want to work in groups and help each other, but my current classroom setup just doesn't allow it.
I would love to have more Chromebooks so all of my students can move around the room, practice, and gain computer knowledge.
Our school continues to gain new students each day with being located in a good school district in a military town. I need more computers so I can make sure each of my students has access to a computer in the lab.
