Chromebooks for the Class

Help me give my students the gift of technology! These Chrome Books will help my students enhance their math, science, reading and writing skills. The Google License will allow them to use ALL that Google has to offer!

My Students

I have 23 energetic, funny, and compassionate 8/9 year olds. The boys and girls in my class are a mix of lower economic students and English Learning Students. Most of these students come from broken homes, and have only one active parent in their lives.

My students are culturally diverse, with 30% African American, 30% Asian, 30% Mexican and 10% Caucasian.

Our school is known to be in a lower-economic area of our city. This means our students have very little opportunities to learn, grow, and help financially.

While my students have these backgrounds, you wouldn't know it if you came to visit. They are happy, filled with energy, and a passion to learn! They pass this enthusiasm on to their families who support their children any way they can.

My Project

These Chromebooks will help my students so much. Most of my students are from lower-economic households where technology is non-existent. These Chromebooks will allow more of my students to work on their Math, Science, Reading and Writing Skills. My students use math programs to help their math fact skills. I also use other math programs like Prodigy, ST Math, and Kahn Academy to help my students math skills and to practice strategies. We use Google Drive and Google Docs for reading and writing. I also would like to start coding with my students. These Chromebooks would also help my students conduct research on topics that they don't get to experience in their lives. For example, Space Exploration and seeing different places around the world. Please help my students broaden their horizons!
