My second graders are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to work with a Chromebook daily. Second graders need to be able to access technology daily to fine tune and use the skills that are necessary for the 21st century.
I believe all students deserve the opportunity to be fluent with technology!
I also think, most importantly, my students will be able to work at their own pace in the areas where they need help the most. My students are using Moby Max in the areas of reading, math, science, and spelling, etc, to bridge the gaps in their learning and the daily opportunity on the Chromebook will enhance their learning.
My Project
I am writing to ask for 16 Chromebooks to complete a set that will be used daily in the classroom.
Many of my students do not have access to technology at home and accessing technology in school will help close the achievement gap.
I believe that students also need to be comfortable with technology in order to increase their confidence in their abilities to perform during their online state wide assessments.
Let's face it, my students enjoy learning on a Chromebook much more than sitting with a book and a piece of paper. I want to keep their interest and love of learning with technology, so please contribute whatever you can to our project. You will be supporting a very appreciative group of second graders!
