We live in a small town and our school houses about 250 amazing students. My classroom of 15 bright students is one of the kindest groups I have ever taught. I love and each every member of our class family; their energy, kindness, and attitude towards learning make every day...an awesome day.
We are a high need school with 100% of our student population receiving free breakfast, lunch, and snack.
A majority of my students live in poverty and school is their safe environment. Through grants, my classroom has been funded to be a "kids fit" room where my desks and furniture are bicycles. I have students whose lives have already been changed from the ability to move throughout the day. In our K-4 school, our classroom is the only one who gets this amazing opportunity. My students work so hard through the day and showing a small amount of appreciation will impact their futures greatly.
My Project
My students would benefit greatly if they are able to get four Chromebooks in our classroom! I have 15 amazing fourth graders who need access to educational programming. Currently, all of my students share 8 classroom Chromebooks but it is difficult to meet everyone’s needs. My goal is to become a one-one classroom and adding four Chromebooks would help me continue in the right direction.
Technology has become a necessary part of education and my students need access to Chromebooks to make them successful.
My students would be utilizing these Chromebooks every day and because they are durable. I would be able to keep them for years to come. Please help my class get one step closer to becoming one-to-one with technology!
