My students need Chromebooks to help integrate more technology into our classroom. We will use them for research, creating projects, and to extend what we are learning.

My Students

I have a classroom of 4th grade self-contained gifted and talented students in the largest inner-city school district in Ohio. My students are part of our district's academically gifted and talented program. My classroom is diverse with students coming from all parts of the district.

Students learn best when instruction and learning match their learning style.

Gifted and talented students are some of the most active and impulsive students in a school. They often need alternative instruction and atmosphere to learn best.

My Project

My students will be able to do a multitude of things with these Chromebooks. They will be able to research topics that we are learning about in class. Many of them will want to search deeper into those topics and will want to present them to the class. The students will also be able to use the computers to create projects and presentations.

Donations to our classroom will improve our ability to creatively express our ideas.

I work hard to give my students multiple ways to learn across all subjects. We use Google Classroom, projects using Docs, Slides, and Prezi. My students will love to have the opportunity to explore new ways to present their knowledge. I am beginning to explore a flipped classroom where students use Hypderdocs to learn a concept at their own pace. We need 1:1 Chromebooks and this is continuing that journey.
