Hooray! This project is fully funded
Our school is a small rural school located in St. Martinville, Louisiana. We currently have 563 students. The schools consist of 70.7% of African Americans, 25.9% of white students, 2.6% Latino, and .7% Hispanics. Our students come from very economically disadvantage families, who struggle to provide basis needs for their children.
Our school serves students in grades 2-5 and provides rigorous academics, fantastic teachers and a safe learning environment for students.
Our goal is to prepare our students for success.
Our school has become recently become a STEM school. In order to effectively engage in these activities we are in need of Chromebooks. By having five Chromebooks, my students will be able to engage in more STEM activities that focus on science and math concepts. These activities will allow my students to perform better on state testing. My students will also be able to access Lego Mindstorm STEM currirulim which will engage them in engineering concepts. In the end, these Chromebooks will assist in helping my student be successful in standardized testing because of these engaging activities that they get to acquire.
