I have the privilege of teaching sixth graders! They are in the middle school and it is usually a very tough transition. I love to help the students grow into the wonderful young men and women they are.
I want to provide my students with technology in the classroom.
It is very important to try to reach our children and provide the best education for them. By having technology in the classroom, I feel as if I will be able to give them more than what they have now.

My Project
My students really thrive with technology in the classroom. We currently do not have any Chromebooks that are ours to only use. We have to share with our other teachers which can be difficult.
I currently teach reading, and my students do not always have prior knowledge before reading our book.
Computers have really helped my classroom by allowing my students to research and have that background knowledge. My students also love specific apps and tools that we use on the computer like Kahoot, Nearpod, Flipgrid, etc. This makes for a less boring lecture because the students can be more interactive in the lesson.
