Help me give my students enough Chromebooks for our English class so that each student has access to a computer to do writing, research, and daily activities.
Students love technology and it's important for us to embrace their love with as many opportunities for tech-based learning as possible.
My students are adventurous learners who thrive best when tasked with the ability to engage in their own problem-solving, writing, and investigation through active supervised Chromebook use.
We will use the Chromebooks for interactive research, Google applications, and essay writing. I take a project-based approach to learning that enables students to develop projects that they can work on in teams and in a way that is inclusive to all of their talents and unique qualities. And in the eighth-grade, we emphasize teaching argument writing.
My Project
Our school is almost at our goal of having 1:1 technology for each student in the English department, but we need a little bit more help getting across the finish line.
If each student has access to a Chromebook daily, it expands our opportunities for being able to do more writing, research, and activities.
Due to the limited number of Chromebooks currently available to us, we're not able to give students regular access to these resources that will help them become technologically literate while developing skills that will help them later on in life. Your help will make it possible for them to get early training and access that will enhance their education and future success. Students will more easily achieve 21st-century skills with the addition of the Chrome cart.
