Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students consist of mostly freshman and sophomore students. These students are taking either Honors Algebra 1 or Geometry. Each of my classes have an average of 32 students. In total we are approximately 250 students.
We follow common core state standards for Geometry and common core state standards through the Agile Minds program for Honors Algebra 1.
Through these standards we explore concepts that will prepare us for real world situations.
My students are eager to learn and excited to be able to have access to more resources!
My Project
Chromebooks for our math classroom will help our students bring math to life! We will be able to explore math in new and exciting ways! We will also be able to access innovative resources besides just our textbook.
The Agile Minds program really helps students understand concepts by bringing math to life with real-world situations that students crave in math.
However, many of these resources are only available online and through the use of computers.
These 7 Chromebooks will get us started on a classroom set so that all our students will have access to these resources.
