My students need Chromebooks to help them write essays, complete online projects, interact in Google Classroom, and participate in other classroom learning activities.
My school has been a part of Chesapeake Public Schools for over 100 years. As time has moved on, it has been a struggle to keep up with technology and classroom standards. Our district has many military families so we see a lot of movement in and out of the community. We need many upgrades in technology. My students have diverse backgrounds and I strive to creatively meet those needs. This year, my focus will be on a more creative learning environment with flexible seating options, a greater use of individualized instruction, group work, and increased use of technology. Thank you for any support you are able to give!
I want to be able to provide a variety of hands-on lessons that will help students to learn and grow according to their own learning style. Technology is the best solution.
Chromebooks will allow my students to watch videos, access Google Classroom, easily type and edit essays, and interact with other classmates.
This technology is essential to my style of teaching. I will have access to apps that will help with research projects and citing sources as well as allow my students to play fun review games and create an enjoyable learning atmosphere. I also want to use them for Google Forms to create pre- and post-assessments so I can evaluate how much my students have learned and to see where the gaps in learning are.
Many of my assignments use creative techniques and differentiation.
