My students need Lenovo Chromebooks to expose them to technology and set them up for greater academic success in the years to come. Most of my students do not have any access to technology at home.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

At our school, amazing teachers and support staff are intertwined with our beloved students and their families.
I am fortunate to work with children whose parents support and value education—parents whose only dreams are to see their kids succeed and thrive in life. I am so proud of the perseverance and grit I see in these students. I value class participation, and this group of kids deliver! They always complete their classwork and homework. I am blessed to have a very high attendance rate. The majority of my students receive free or reduced-price lunches, and many walk daily in the rain and take multiple bus trips to arrive at school. Regardless of daily challenges, my kindergarten students show up on time, full of life and love. They are excited to start a new day filled with learning.
My Project
Lenovo Chromebooks will greatly enhance my students chances for academic and workplace success. Most of the children in my classroom do not have access to technology; these Lenovo Chromebooks will expose them to technology, increasing their chances for academic advancement, and help introduce them to programs and academic software that they will need to use as they get older.
Our students have lost valuable learning time due to the devastating Wildfires that impacted our community.
These Chromebooks will allow students to explore how a computer works, as well as increase the amount of time using reading and math programs. Since many do not have access to a Chromebook at home, this will help them make up for lost academic and classroom time.
