In this class, we build a community around what we have in common and our shared experiences. My students are enthusiastic learners eager to find answers to just about anything and everything. They show honor and compassion for others by doing more than what's expected of them, treating others as special, and having a positive attitude throughout their school day.
No matter their background, they enjoy playing games, learning through discovery, and working together.
They are learning that amazing things actually do happen when they try, that life is all about learning from mistakes made, and "that no act of kindness, no matter how small is ever wasted."
Unfortunately, I have students who do not have computers at home and they so much look forward to using them at school. Currently we have 5 Chromebooks and would love add a few more, to give my students chance and limit the number of students per group, thus make learning more fun and productive.
Computer skills are a necessity in today’s world. My students love when they have the opportunity to use computers to supplement their learning. But, due to the limited number of computers in the classroom (2) it becomes very difficult to give every student (31) the support and opportunity to use them daily.
Even in the primary grades, technology has become an increasingly important and integral part of student learning!
With these Chromebooks you will be giving students the opportunity to build basic computer skills, utilize them in small groups, explore additional content material, play educational games and collaborate with other students.
