My students need Chromebooks in the classroom in order to help them learn through the use of technology. There are several math and reading programs that we use on a daily basis requiring technology!
My fourth graders are full spirit and are faced with many challenges outside of the classroom. The goal in my classroom is to create an environment where all kids feel safe and loved. Although they face many challenges, they continue to persevere and thrive in the classroom.
Providing students with the opportunities to explore their interests and passions is something we strive to achieve each and every day.

My Project
Having a set of Chromebooks in the classroom would allow students to use technology daily. Currently, the students in my class have access to five school shared iPads that frequently do not work.
Integrating technology into the classroom allows for students to experience things they may not get to experience outside of the classroom.
Giving these experiences and opportunities to my students is something I strive to do.
The reading block in my classroom includes a Listen to Reading station. During this time, students have access to MyOn.com to listen to stories and having Chromebooks in the classroom would help make this a reality for them. Our math program utilizes an online program. Each week students log-in and complete activities geared towards their ability level. This would be much more accessible to my students with a set of Chromebooks.
