Chromebooks For Kiddos!
My students need five Lenovo Chromebooks and with Google Chrome OS Management Console Licenses to research environmental science topics.
I am greeted by 30 smiling, eager-to-learn faces every day. My students love to collaborate, learn about the world around them, and create new ways to solve problems.
Around 75% of the students in our small-town school receive free or reduced price lunch.
Although the students in my classroom are faced with many obstacles, they continue to strive to be the best learners they can be. As their teacher, I want to help encourage them to maintain their love of learning and overcome the obstacles they face.
Having new chromebooks in the hands of my students could change the way we complete projects and research for the better! In fourth grade we study several environmental topics such as rocks and minerals, alternative energy, and animal habitats. We currently have outdated technology.
By having these new materials, my students will be able to complete research on these topics safely with the management software and create collaborative projects using Google Apps.
My students will also have the unique opportunities to work with websites such as Scratch that will incorporate coding into environmental science projects. I know that my students will show great growth in science through the use of these materials.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
