Our school is a small, rural elementary school located in the beautiful foothills of the Sierra Nevada. Though we are rural, we are beginning to see growth in our area and are starting to receive new students.
Our classroom is a happy and productive place, providing a safe, respectful, and responsible learning environment for all students to grow academically and personally.
During this time of COVID-19, we have students working in-class and students working online from home simultaneously. All of my students work to do their best and learn new and important things each day. We believe in kindness and the learning power of mistakes.
My Project
Gaining two more HP Chromebooks will allow more students to work safely and individually on technology throughout the school year.
Chromebooks greatly support student learning in our classroom by providing consistent and immediate access to digital tools and websites.
Students use the Chromebooks throughout the school day in all areas of content—researching, writing, practicing math, learning vocabulary, and typing. We use individual websites such as Dreambox, Khan Academy, and Quizlet to support and enhance our learning.
Additionally, we are always using and needing dry-erase whiteboard markers and individual pencil sharpeners.
