My Students

John Wooden once said, "Don't let what you CAN'T do, get in the way of what you CAN do." Often, students are told by a variety of people what they cannot do. I want my students to understand what they CAN do, now and in the future, if they set a goal and apply themselves!

My students consist of 127 kids who mostly come from hard-working, blue-collar families.

At the middle school level, most students are looking forward to making the transition to high school. I want them to be prepared to do their very best to achieve whatever goal they set for themselves!

My Project

Many of my students come from disadvantaged backgrounds, and struggle daily for even the most basic supplies. I have limited access to technology in my classroom, and when a student has to miss class on a day that I have technology, it can be several days or longer before that assignment can be made up.

Help me give my students access to technology every day in my classroom, ensuring that every child has an opportunity to explore science outside the classroom and not fall behind!

Often, when a student misses class, making up an assignment can be very difficult. Having Chromebooks in my classroom daily will help to alleviate the issues of missing work, and give my students the opportunity to explore science outside the classroom walls!
