Chromebooks for Every Science Student: Information at their Fingertips

My students need these Chromebooks to study science with up-to-date information and create awesome projects in a project based classroom. These would allow me to provide differentiation at it's best.

My Students

My students come from very diverse, socioeconomic populations. We also have a large population of English language learners. There are many different languages spoken throughout the halls of my school. My students are placed in heterogenous classes in science and therefore there is a great need for differentiation.

A set of Chromebooks that are strictly for my science students would have so many benefits.

Having technology at their finger tips would allow me to progress further with my project based learning approach. I still have students who do not have access to a computer outside of the classroom, we share Chromebooks now so student availability in the science classroom is very limited.

Our tight budget has resulted in teachers becoming extremely creative in their classrooms with very limited supplies. I do not want my kids to miss out on great science lessons because of a lack of funding.

My Project

Not all of my students have access to technology outside of school, some barely have enough food for dinner. I know that these Chromebooks will allow my students to excel in my science class and allow me to move forward with going all project based. It will also allow me to truly, effectively differentiate my classroom and I know deep down every student will be successful.

Technology is the way of the world today, so not having it readily accessible for them at school is sad.

We are always trying to schedule a set of Chromebooks and then have to plan ahead when we can get it. With these I can have kids look at something right away and discuss new discoveries in science.
