Help me give my students these 2 Chromebooks so they can research online, read ebooks, practice math online, make presentations, write, learn to code and collaborate!
I teach at a K-8 Title 1 school in a small, rural community. This year I will be teaching 2nd grade. I want to provide my students with meaningful learning experiences that will inspire a lifetime enjoyment of learning.
Our school focuses on leadership and responsibility.
We like to focus on each student's potential by creating an environment where students can be successful. One way we can do this is by offering them access to technology that will allow them to practice the skills they are learning in fun and engaging ways. The Chromebooks I am requesting will help us give our students the practice opportunities and access to the online tools they need.
The overall goal is to provide our students the opportunity to utilize technology in the classroom. Having this access will enable our students to be actively involved in learning and will allow them to collaborate with each other. Our students need access to technology during literacy, math and content area lessons on a daily basis. These devices will be used to access a variety of online collaboration tools and math and literacy programs that the school already subscribes to and uses.
My Project
Our students are excited about using technology. Since our school is a Leader in Me school, these Chromebooks would be used daily in our classrooms to empower our students with 21st-century skills and grow as leaders. They would give students access to online resources such as Google Classroom, engaging videos, online math and literacy tools, ebooks, and online collaboration tools. The Chromebooks will be used to help our students not only in math and science, but also with researching, reading and writing.
With these Chromebooks, our students will be able to reinforce concepts that taught, and apply their knowledge in an engaging way.
In return, we maximize their learning and create independent students along the way!
