Chromebooks for eLearning during Covid-19 Pandemic

My Students

I have the privilege of spending my day most of my day with five awesome young adults. My students are on the career pathway to graduation. My student's requirements for graduation include a minimum of 22 academic credits plus on-campus volunteer hours, assisting in creating and running a school-based enterprise, off-campus volunteer hours and during their senior year paid employment work hours. We work hard each day to fill the academic gaps and prepare for future past high school.

My students require a learning environment that nourishes their strengths and interest while searching for their post-secondary careers.

In order to meet the students variety of needs, our school partners with Virtual Public School to provide the core instruction. My students spend a portion of their day taking ELA, Math, Science, History and CTE courses online with my assistance (co-teaching).

My Project

My high school students need reliable Chromebooks to be able to participate in eLearning beginning April 2, 2020. Each of my students takes their online Core classes through North Carolina Virtual Public School. They will also receive their special education service time online. I need each of them to have the ability to use video/audio meeting platforms in order to engage fully in their lessons.

These Chromebooks will allow me to conference with them one on one and work in meeting groups.

We will use Google Forms, Docs and Sheets to document and track progress on their IEP goals. Please help me send a Chromebook home to each of my students.
