Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My classroom is filled with students who have a variety of different needs. Some students have disabilities, some are learning English, some have emotional needs. Some of my students simply need to be challenged. Despite their challenges, they all come to school very eager to learn and bring a lot to the table.
My students don't necessarily have extra materials or resources at home, so they are very appreciative of the ones we have inside the classroom.
This school is in a low-income area, filled with children with many different needs, but seeing them have the opportunity to have these amazing materials from DonorsChoose is truly a blessing! These materials will really help my students explore.

My Project
Right now, schools across the world are going through negative, scary, unprecedented times. Students, teachers, and families had to change "school" as they knew it in a matter of days. Parents became teachers. Students became teachers and teachers became virtual.
These three Chromebooks would go to students in my classroom who have many siblings at home and not enough devices.
Students will use these Chromebooks to contact teachers, work on Moby Max, Google Classroom, Google Meets, Readworks.org and more. They will be learning virtually on a daily basis. For these families; if this project is funded they will be given a surprise drop off of a Chromebook to help manage their learning! Thank you in advance.
Having the extra devices at home will help students check in daily with their teachers an come to them for advice whenever they need.
