My students attend a rural PreK-8th grade school in South Central Missouri. More than half of our school's student body come from low-income households.
My classroom, in particular, has an extremely high percentage of children who qualify for free or reduced price lunch.
Many of "my kids" would rather be at school than at home due to the struggles they deal with in their home environments.
I want their "home-away-from-home" to be as calming, comfortable, inviting, and enriching as possible!
I am asking for 3 Chromebooks with the Google Chrome Management software so that I can teach my students about digital art in the classroom. Many of my students don't realize that you can create art on a computer. Many careers that the students may encounter as adults may require them to be able to create artwork on the computer for various reasons. Areas like networking, marketing, advertising, photography, engineering, graphic design, and many others will require the use of art and technology. There are also many programs that we will be able to use on our computers to create different works of art in the classroom.
