"Never stop wondering!" is our class motto! We are an inclusion/English Language Learner classroom full of little learners of all backgrounds and ability levels.
My 2nd grade classroom is a safe place where students come to take risks, create, and explore subjects of all kinds.
While some are working towards mastering the English language, others are conducting student run book clubs to discuss short novels. Everyone is an individual with unique strengths and weaknesses, and we wouldn't have it any other way!
Two years back, through DonorsChoose.org, our classroom was fortunate enough to receive five Chromebooks of our own. Due to class size, we are in need of just one more for use during small group Math and Reading center rotations. As groups are often made up of 6 students, there is always someone who must either share with a friend or wait and complete the task separate from the rest of their team.
With the help of a Chromebook, my students can practice reading and math skills, create presentations to share with their peers, design books like a "real life" author, and even research the world around them.
There really is no end to what we can do with them!
