This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are 9th graders with a love for learning and STEM specifically. Most of our students are low income and do not always come to school with all of the necessities to be successful in school. They are so hardworking and deserve the best learning environment possible. They are so lucky to have so many wonderful programs available to them and they take full advantage of all opportunities. 100% of our students are accepted to college, and we want to prepare them for that challenge.

My Project

We have been lucky enough to receive a chromebook cart for Computer Science. Over the last year, we have had some of our chromebooks die on us, unfortunately.

We need six additional chromebooks to add to our cart, to make sure that every student has a computer to use during class!

My project is important because technology is always changing and advancing. In order to help my students be successful in college, they need to be changing and advancing alongside technology. Not only will they be learning different skills, they will be able to practice them on a regular basis.
