My Students

My students have special needs such as specific learning disabilities, other health impairments, and language/speech disorders. They all strive to rise above their disabilities and are challenged daily to meet grade level objectives. They are pulled daily to work on their current level of performance so that they can be successful on the level they are on and also work on grade level objectives.

Every student deserves to learn in spite of disabilities.

In spite of the struggles that they may face, they strive to put forth great effort to grow. These students teach me many things too. My special needs students show determination regardless of their weaknesses. They refuse to give up and use their disability as an excuse not push to the highest level they can achieve.

My Project

Special needs students are daily challenged in both the general education and special education classrooms to show growth on classroom and statewide assessments. In spite of their disabilities, these students are hard workers that enjoy learning by using updated technology and what greater way to learn than by Chromebooks as a resource. We daily use programs such as Moby Max, Ten Marks, Go Formative, Read Works, and Quizlet on the Chromebooks.

Having Chromebooks help students gather information on subjects that are important in their every day life.

All our students also have Google accounts and use Google Classroom as a resource to help with student/teacher collaboration while in class and at home.
