My Students

Our school is located in a middle class neighborhood, but we have students from all backgrounds. These kids are special because they represent so many different backgrounds, but they find a way to connect with each other.

We are a family!

We have approximately 130 students who make up the 7th Grade White Team, and they are full of personality and energy. Almost all of our students have the same teachers, and we make it a point to take care of each other like a family. We may not always get along, but we always look out for each other.

My Project

My goal is to raise enough money to purchase 8 Chromebooks for my classroom. These Chromebooks are not just another piece of technology. We will use them on a daily basis to provide rigorous, targeted and exciting activities that will motivate students to actually WANT to learn!

These Chromebooks will open new doors for learning, especially for our struggling students and overachievers.

For students who struggle, there are engaging tools that we can use to meet them where they need to most help. And, for our students who need to be challenged, access to the Internet and online activities and give them an avenue to explore their creativity and become self-directed learners.
