My little masked 2nd graders are so happy to be in school! My students are awesome because they get excited about everything and love to learn. Many of my students have some pretty difficult situations at home. Like many rural districts, we have limited resources and a lot of struggling families, and we are trying hard to stay open during this pandemic. Our school is the heart of our community. I want to do everything I can to give my students stability and consistency, along with a quality education. I want my students to be successful and happy, and I will do all I can to give them a boost towards college and career readiness.
My students need two Chromebooks for classroom use and emergency distance learning.
I have several students that do not have access to computers at home, or have to share with siblings if we have to switch to distance learning. We also need computers for student use in the classroom.
My Project
My students will make excellent use of these Chromebooks in our classroom, and I can send them home with if we have to switch to distance learning. I have several students that are really struggling after missing out on so much school this past spring. I need to make sure this doesn't happen again. I also applied for and received grants for two special online learning programs that will help fill in gaps and give my students much needed extra practice in math and reading.
Chromebooks will help my students make the most out of their learning time, and give them additional access to valuable educational resources.
I have 2 students in particular that need to be able to jump onto a computer during any downtime throughout the day and get extra practice with our reading and math programs. Now more than ever, access to computers is critical for student success. Thank you so much for your help!
