My Students

My students are special because they have a great desire to learn new things. All students at my school qualify for free lunch, and for some, that is the best meal they get during the day. They come to school with smiles regardless of their socioeconomic backgrounds.

Students in my room are engaged in high quality activities that enhance their learning.

They are energetic and have a passion for using various educational materials during our lessons. They really enjoy using Chromebooks for online educational games and lessons.

My Project

Right now my students are sharing Chromebooks in our classroom because we do not have enough. While this is great for group projects, it is very difficult when they need to work independently. Having a class set of Chromebooks will allow each student to work on assignments and educational programs on the computer at the same time.

Students will enjoy being able to work independently on their own Chromebook at their own pace rather than hurrying so they can trade out with someone else.

They will also get more on-task time if they have their own Chromebook. My students engage in many online educational programs. Not having to wait for their turn will allow each student to have maximum time to work on these programs and make bigger gains throughout the year.
