My students need three Chromebooks to use during reading rotations and will help my students achieve achieve success in reading comprehension, so they don't have to wait for a computer to become available.
Each and every day, my students believe in themselves. My students are confident and happy to come into our classroom. They know that we are a school family and that we care and respect each person in our family. Every student is valued and encouraged in my classroom. Students are inspired by one another.
You would be surprised how far a student can go with love and encouragement from their teacher and classmates!
I believe in ALL of my students. There are no "behavior problems" in my class. Some of my students face the challenges of ADHD or autism spectrum disorder. I get to know each student and work to bring out their strengths. With love and encouragement, each child will accomplish their goals. Students know if you believe in them! All of my students love to come into our class each and every day because they are surrounded by students who believe in them! A teacher shapes and molds the classroom environment. Our classroom is a family of supporters who cheer every student on!
I am not just a teacher. I am a person who is a supporter, an encourager, a believer, and a cheerleader.
My Project
My students have never known a time without computers. They are immersed in technology all around them.
My students are growing up in a time with Facebook Live, Video chatting, and Virtual Reality bringing the world to them, through their computer monitor.
I am asking for three Chromebooks to use in my classroom for a variety of digital learning experiences. We currently have only four classroom computers, and in a class of nineteen students (at a time), there is no way I can allow them an adequate amount of time on the computers each day. That being said, I also have some non-english speaking learners who utilizes Rosetta-Stone and other learning tools to bring them up to speed. These are programs that can only be accessed on a computer. With the addition of three computers I would be able to increase their computer time and my other students as well.
