My Students

As a 1st grade teacher, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences. They like to move, they love to read, and love lots of positive attention. From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom, I focus on their potential and growth while they are with me. By doing this in a creative and positive way, I am hopeful to inspire even our earliest learners to continue on a path of academic excellence.

My Project

My First Grade students have many opportunities to learn in whole group, small group, and independent settings. These Chromebooks would help keep my students engaged and interactive while working on their own, with partners, and in a whole group. We would be able to house these Chromebooks in our classroom to ensure each and every kid has an opportunity to interact with many of the educational apps that have been created and are out there ready to explore. The use of technology is one of the best ways to keep kids engaged and learning. They are able to use these devices in so many interactive ways within the classroom. We can use also use them with our Smartboards to create an interactive lesson that many kids can be involved in at one time.
