Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I currently teach 31 fourth grade students who range from gifted learners to those with special education needs. Technology is the bridge to link everyone together. All of my students come from very diverse backgrounds with a desire to learn in new and different ways. They need opportunities to challenge their learning in differentiated ways that are unique to each of their specific personalities and learning situations. I feel technology provides hands on and practical experience to skills they have learned and it is a great way to capture their attention in a unique way that is individualized to each of them.
My Project
Technology is used daily not only at home but also in a school setting. Having these tools to help my students learn in a real world way will have an amazing impact on their academic success in all areas. My students are at an age where they will benefit from being technology literate and capable of using technology to expand their learning. Chromebooks that are accessible will help them to become aware of the ease of using technology to enhance their learning with everything from project presentations to research. Students are the future and technology will help guide that future!
