Chromebook Technology to Support Literacy and Math

My Students

I work with an amazing group of 6 and 7 years old who have a wide range of interests and abilities. My favorite thing about this age group is their excitement and love of life. They love to see their teacher at the grocery story, they love to show you a special outfit, they love to explore the world around them, and they love to play.

One thing that is true about all my students is that they all want to learn, and they are excited to learn.

My Project

My students need access to new and dependable technology. Our school computer lab is also used as the music room, and isn't always available for classroom use. The laptops that we have in our classroom are used and outdated. They often freeze up and take a while to work.

My students need new laptops to access online learning, so they can practice their literacy and math skills.

With these new computers students will be able to practice reading, phonics, math and coding during a rotating schedule.

Students need opportunities to use technology throughout the week. They are expected to take district assessments on a laptop, so why shouldn't they have access to it in their own classroom on a regular basis? Please consider supporting my students by giving them new, dependable technology that supports their learning.
