Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Our children have been exposed to tablets, cell phones, and computers since the day they were born.
Children are proficient in playing games from the APP store, watching videos on Youtube, and snapping pictures using Snapchat. My students understand how to use technology, but I hope to engage students and provide them the opportunity to use technology effectively in the classroom. Technology is evolving as we speak and student success requires the ability to effectively use technology in their learning. Our children need to develop 21st century work skills to be successful in their future careers.
I am a proud 7th grade science teacher hoping to provide our students an integrated technology learning environment. Our students are from a diverse community northeast of Houston. We are a growing school with close to 1600 students.
My Project
My students need three interactive/innovative touch Asus Chromebooks for a more tech savvy tomorrow! As a Google Apps for Education campus, acquiring Chromebooks from generous supporters will allow our students to effectively utilize Google Apps for Education in our classrooms. We use Google Classroom in our class often, and with Chromebooks our students will be given the opportunity to collaborate with other students and gain access to essential apps that will extend their learning beyond the walls of our classroom.
Chromebooks open the door to discovery and collaboration, and provide students various methods in presenting their understanding.
These Chromebooks will also be used to demonstrate student creativity through filming of videos, interviews, and stop motion media.
