During the past 7 weeks, we have learned just how amazing and adaptable children are. We have so many students who are trying to reach out to us as teachers during this worldwide crisis. One of the discrepancies that we not only see during normal learning times, but are now so blatantly obvious during this time.
My students in Baltimore City are struggling to be able to keep on top of their workload and communication for that matter due to the lack of affordability for technology.
In addition, my students are also falling short when it comes to communication. They are at home with poor or no internet connection and are missing important information from our school district as well as the nation.
My students are in desperate need of technology during this tumultuous time. They are lacking the basic resources needed in order to communicate with their teachers and complete assignments in order to comlete their last quarter of this 2019-2020 school year.
We are all struggling during this time, but imagine struggling without the use of technology.
It is not only unfair, it is inequality at its worst. Students who are working so hard are being held back by the fact they do not have as much money as others. An education is the key to freedom and success, please consider helping my students by donating to this project.
