My Students

My students are very hard working and creative artists. They love working with their hands and creating art. They enjoy creating and expressing themselves with a diverse array of art materials in the art room. Unfortunately, many do not have access to technology such as Chromebooks.

My school is in Bridgeport CT and is a Title One school where one hundred percent of students qualify for free lunch.

Over five days, four hundred and fifty students have art class with me. We have a small art budget and supplies need to be shared by multiple students.

My Project

My students need access to technology especially during this unprecedented and very difficult time. Many of my students do not have devices at home or do not have devices that can work with my district's online learning platform.

This Chromebook will be used to help someone in need have access to technology they do not have at home.

Our education system is currently struggling to equitably educate all students remotely. Many students, specifically in areas with Title One schools, do not have access to the proper technology at home.
