My Students
I am a fourth grade teacher in a new school. Many of my students come to school every day with different challenges they are facing inside and outside of our classroom.
I teach an energetic and enthusiastic group of scholars.
My students love exploring and learning new things. I've noticed how my scholars light up when they do hands-on technology-based projects. I have a wide range of learning abilities in the classroom. Although we all have our differences, our ultimate goal is to be successful in all facets of life.
My Project
We live in a technology driven world. This has opened up new ways for us to connect with people near and far and opened a whole new avenue for self-inquiry.
I want to create global learners.
In our school we have focus on project-based learning. This year in fourth grade we will be reaching out to schools affected by Hurricane Florence and seeing how we can help them rebuild, just like so many did when our area was affected by Hurricane Harvey. We will use these Chromebooks to help us connect to these affected schools.
We will also be using the Chromebooks to collaborate with a middle school class to learn new skills: Prezzie, email etiquette, excel and more. These skills will help us complete our project based learning goal.
