Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are a unique bunch and they LOVE to read. They take every opportunity during the day to read. They are an incredible group that wants to learn. They enjoy engaging activities and work well together.
By supporting my project providing my students with the opportunity to explore the world of reading literacy with integrated technology.
Teaching through engaging experiences allows all different types of learners to succeed. My students come from a low-income and high poverty environments. They are faced with challenges both in and out of the classroom. It is the little things that we do in the classroom together that can really make a difference in their everyday lives.
My Project
With the implementation of these Chromebooks, students will use a variety of online resources and programs such as Imagine Literacy to improve their reading skills. These Chromebooks will be used on a daily bases for the online component of the literacy instruction. The students will have an opportunity to explore and grow.
THE CHROMEBOOKS WILL MAKE LEARNING FUN!
A lot of my students come from homes where technology is not essential. Having chromebooks in my classroom will give everyone single one of my 45 students a chance to master reading skills. They can also use the chromebooks to become better readers.
