Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our school provides comprehensive academics to students, has a dedicated teaching staff, and offers a safe learning environment. However, our school serves an impoverished community. Expectations are high but the budget is low. My 2nd Grade students enter the classroom ready and willing to learn in spite of the challenges that surround them. I want to be able to continue providing my students with an effective, positive, and vibrant learning environment so that they can reach their potential. We are grateful for your time and support of our project!

My Project

Due to the current events and distance learning, my students were rapidly introduced to a world of docs, forms, slides, and sharing. Our school was in the midst of transitioning to the Google platform. However, technology is still not readily available to individual students. Help me incorporate more Chromebooks into our classroom so my students can become familiar with these programs.

Your contributions will boost our online connectivity.

We need your support. This will enable as many students as possible to use new technology in order to become better virtual learners.

The Chromebooks will be used to connect to a medley of online educational resources. All of our curricular programs have web-based student features and components. This project, along with a previously funded one, will allow one-third of my class to easily access technology!
