My students, living on the west side of Chicago, are hard-working, creative individuals who are a joy to teach and get to know every day. As a special education teacher, I work with elementary school students who have a range of disabilities that impact their learning.
My students deserve innovative instruction and versatile resources to access the curriculum and be successful students.
They come to my classroom with a range of current achievement levels and I use a variety of instructional strategies to help them reach their full potential.
I am a resource special education teacher, working with students on multiple subjects. All students need engaging and creative instruction and my diverse learners greatly benefit from interactive tasks. Chromebooks allow me to differentiate my instruction, ensuring all students are working at their level and being challenged or supported according to their needs.
The ability to navigate the internet, research various topics, and seek out accurate information is an essential skill for students in today's world.
Without access to computers and the internet at home, my students could be left behind, unable to complete in the global market or achieve their full potential. With a collection of Chromebooks, I can provide students with intensive math and reading interventions dependent on their needs, the opportunity to explore the vast pool of information available to them, and instruction to critically evaluate sources of information.
