My Students

My students are creative, enthusiastic about learning, and love to work with technology! They enjoy working collaboratively on projects and are eager to accept challenges that push them to think outside the box.

My kids are driven and energetic, which allows me to be more flexible with projects.

I am always amazed at their desire to learn and the community they are able to build within the classroom. The kids consider themselves citizens of "Morganville" and work together to make our classroom feel like a home!

My Project

Technology is not just a trend, but instead it is a way of life in "Morganville!" I encourage students to use technology in all subject areas, but especially in math. My students use Chrome Books daily in our math centers to complete interactive lessons that have been created and assigned in Google Classroom. In addition, the kids love to use technology for online math sites, such as Moby Max and Kahn Academy, where they can challenge themselves to improve their overall math skills and earn badges and game times as a reward.

In order to more effectively engage in math centers in the classroom, I need more than eight Chromebooks for 25 students.

It has taken me two years of grant writing and donations to purchase the eight devices I currently have and the students and I are forever grateful for them!
