Students at my middle school come from all over San Francisco, from as far east as Treasure Island, south to Visitation Valley, Chinatown, North Beach, and west from the Richmond and Sunset. We are a very diverse student body, with every race, religion and socioeconomic class represented.
Within the student body, we find all varieties of learners, both high and low achieving.
These students are truly the future, by supporting them we ensure that, in turn, we will be supported by an educated population.
My Project
My students will use these notebooks next year in science class. They will benefit by having all of their ideas and classwork recording in one place. This way they can build upon the knowledge and ideas they are developing. Also, with the myriad of physics demonstration materials in the project, learning can be more hands-on and kinesthetic. This will help more modalities of learners acquire the deep understanding they need. I have also included materials for my Japanese Culture Club, the eighth grade Waves unit, the Forces and Motion unit, and sixth grade Thermal Energy and Heat unit. With these materials, demonstrations and learning outcomes will be more successful. Thanks again.
